Work areas

Dr Ragnarson Tennvall earned her PhD in Medicine, Health Economics, at Lund University in 2001 on the thesis “The Diabetic foot – Costs, health economic aspects, prevention and quality of life”. She has 20 years of experience in the development and application of economic evaluations in health care. Her research includes empirical economic analyses and evaluations of pharmaceuticals and other medical technologies. Recent and on-going research includes analyses of registry data on haemophilia and endometriosis. Health economic analyses of interventions in different dermatological diseases are other on-going research. She is interested in quality of life measurement and QALYs.

Dr Ragnarson Tennvall participated as health economist in the preparation of the National Guidelines for care of prostate cancer and breast cancer at the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) in 2005-2007.

Dr Ragnarson Tennvall is a member of the EURODIALE Consortium, a European study group for diabetes and complications of the lower extremities.
