From December 20th, 2010, IHE (via IHE Holding AB) is owned by IHEs CEO Professor Ulf Persson, IHE’s personnel, and European Health Economics. Professor Bengt Jönsson, founder of IHE, will become senior advisor and chairman of IHEs scientific advisory board.

“IHE has been able during all its years to maintain a profile as an independent HE research institute, which is our primary goal as we go forward”, says Ulf Persson. “Bengt has, not the least through many years on the board of directors, followed our institute and seen how IHE has contributed to the development of HE not only in Sweden but also internationally. The cooperation with EHE means that IHE will have increased contacts and competence for international projects”.

”I look forward to the opportunity to be part of IHEs continued development. IHE has today an established position as one of Sweden’s leading HE institutes. There is a tradition that is important to safeguard at the same time that there is a need for renewal and continued competence development in the area that is central for the health care sector today and in the future. I see a continued important role for IHE for education and research in HE and hope that I can help to strengthen IHE’s international contacts and competitiveness”, says Bengt Jönsson.

IHE will at the time thank the previous owner Apoteket AB and board of directors for a dutiful and stimulating work through the years. IHE was a subsidiary of Apoteket AB for 20 years.
